Scott Barbur, Attorney

Scott graduated from Lewis and Clark Law School with his Law degree in 2011 and opened his general practice law firm shortly thereafter. Prior to becoming an attorney, Scott spent seven years working as a paralegal and legal assistant where he was exposed to a broad variety of legal fields and learned the nuances of practicing law. During his tenure in legal services, Scott has developed substantial knowledge and experience in estate planning, contract law, small business law and personal injury law. His commitment to serving his clients lead him to pursue further education and a deeper understanding of the law.
Scott enjoys helping his client’s pursue their objectives and reach optimal outcomes whether they are preparing or creating a will or trust for clients seeking peace of mind through estate planning, preparing contracts and documents necessary to running a small business or settling a personal injury matter. His experience as a paralegal left a bitter taste in his mouth after seeing how large insurance companies took advantage of victims of accidents and fueled his desire to pursue a career in law. This led him to pursue personal injury law as one of his specialties, where he helps to seek justice for injury victims and make sure they are fairly compensated.
Prior to his education in law, Scott earned a Bachelor of Science in Geography from Portland State University. Scott grew up in and enjoys serving the community of Milwaukie, where he continues to live, and the surrounding areas of Clackamas County, Portland and beyond. He is active and invested in his community through participation on the City of Milwaukie Planning Commission, the Milwaukie Rotary Club and as a board member of the Milwaukie Historical Society. He also helps to support the local business community through his participation and membership in the North Clackamas Chamber of Commerce.
In his downtime, you can find Scott spending time with his wife and pursuing his passion for adventure, either hiking around Mt. Hood with his dog Tobey or out on a local golf course…..looking for his ball in the rough.
