Starting 2022 With A Bang

| Barbur Law

With each new year comes a fresh start — a new beginning and 365 days of endless possibility. Just a few weeks into 2022, I am excited to share what we’ve already been up to as a firm. It is safe to say that here at Barbur Law, we are starting 2022 with a bang!

Effective January 1st, Laura Laskey was promoted to Partner. Laura has been a huge asset to the firm working out of our Tillamook office, and I can’t say enough wonderful things about her. With Laura, our clients know that they are in very capable hands. As a team, we all appreciate Laura’s dedication to the legal industry and to her community. I look forward to watching her soar to new heights in her well-deserved new role with the firm. Please join me in congratulating her.

But wait, there is more exciting news out of Tillamook!

Our office has been undergoing construction for an expansion, which we are thrilled about. Our project is nearly complete, and we look forward to a ribbon cutting ceremony with the Tillamook Area Chamber of Commerce on February 8th. I personally welcome you to stop by and check out our new space at your convenience. The expansion will offer our staff (and clients!) more comfort and privacy when at our office.

Finally, if you haven’t heard, Barbur Law turned TEN this month! I am proud of every client, friend, family and staff member for helping to achieve this dream. After graduating from Lewis and Clark Law School in 2011, I was uncertain about starting my own firm. As I have shared with family and colleagues, despite my doubts, I continued to show up to work each day. It wasn’t easy, but I stuck it out, and I’m so thankful I did. When I look at how we have grown as a firm, I am equal parts proud and grateful to be where we are today. I look forward to the next ten years of welcoming new clients and nurturing the meaningful friendships we’ve made along the way. Thanks to our community for ten years of support!

In closing, it was Maya Angelou who so wisely said: “I have great respect for the past. If you don't know where you've come from, you don't know where you're going. I have respect for the past, but I'm a person of the moment. I'm here, and I do my best to be completely centered at the place I'm at, then I go forward to the next place.”

I honor our humble beginnings, and at the same time, I feel the momentum building for great things on the horizon. Thank you for being on this ride with us. Cheers to 2022.
